A great idea!

I propose we have it Glasgow for the reasons below:

* The social life in Glasgow is the best in the country
* It is home of LUGRadio celebrities such as bigkev, neuro & mrben
* It has nothing to do with the fact I'd be able to walk to it

Actually, I was thinking of offering ScotLUG/Glasgow as a place for a lugradio -on-the-road type event later on this year......

I'll happily come along to a Glasgow meet - damn sight nearer than London!

London, Glasgow, Wolverhampton... What the hell... It's almost the same for me.
I would just need to know who-what-where-when early enough to organise my trip to "La perfide Albion"

who-what-where-when... No "why"? I don't need a why. I re-listened to a couple of show last evening, and it was damn good stuff, I laughed as if it was the first time.

I'd prefer the midlands so I can fit it around the rest of my life ;-)

This week instead of the expo I have been mostly, taking my son to hospital, eating copious amounts of chillie-con-carne, washing it down with lots of cold stella, gardening, wrestling with some advanced XSLT features, getting wet in downpoors, and doing some php/mysql work for a client. What a rich life I lead ;-)

I was planning on coming down for the day but when I looked at everything I needed to get done this week I couldn't really fit it in and justifying the train fair for a couple of hours in the capital when work is so short was impossible.

So never mind I'll see you next time ;-) we should really arrange a bar-be-cue or something for the summer somewhere where most people can reach. Any thoughts? or perhaps we should hold our own mini-expo or conference and get speakers who actully do some work on open source/free software projects instead of the pr types in expensive suits that normally attend these things.

I'm hoping to come down at some point, either for one the recordings or one of your meetings - if that's OK...

Hope he's OK. I have two children myself...

S'ok - with Matt and Jono's (poor) attempts at black country accents, it was almost like you were there... Note to the rest of LUG Radio crew - don't let Jono do any impressions 'on-air'!

I think that's the sort of thing Jono was talking about...

Yeah, the recordings are a bit cramped but if anyone wants to come down to our lug and see what a *real* lug is like ;-) they are totally welcome. One word of warning new comers have to introduce themselves to the group and are then open for nominations (I'll leave that as a surprise) for the thing that happening before the spunky pies ;-)

No probs it was just a check up.

Jono does a pretty good Dr Nick Riverira but don't ask for regional accents ;-) Matt is starting to become our own Jon Culshaw now he has expanded his act past Frank Sidebottom ;-)

cool, it's been spoken off before but we are tradionally a unit that procrastenates professionally so nothing normally happens when we talk about stuff, but this is more important, this is lugradio business ;-)

We could just have a big get together and eat lots of food and drink ourselves into the ground ;-)

Doesn't do his 'beard' any justice though! :)

I should start copyrighting these and charging performance fees ;-)

I would have loved to meet the other Aq (as well as the rest of you), as I often read the blog.

If the pictures were clear you'd be able to get the people's name from their name-tags.

Speaking of which, weren't we promised spunky pie photos?

How about Greenville, NC? I asked around, and it's close for everyone around here.

I think borrowed is a better term.

Perhaps I should GPL everything I say so I get credit ;-)

That one looks like Jonathan Riddell, member of ScotLUG and maintainer of Umbrello and KDE Developer (well that one is obvious)
