I'm afraid USA was too much of a cost for me, but barring death I will have done all LRL UK's. It probably would have been more of a priority if i had known, but it seemed like it was going to happen again from the reviews and how the lads said it went.
Disney World I guess it is then, or perhaps arrange a LR OSM hiking tour of silicon valley. :)

Being broke and living in Wolverhampton this was the only event I could afford (plus, after the 1st one I learned you can get in free and a t-shirt for your soul and a couple of early mornings).

Oh well, will have to do with the Wolves LUG :) As it began, it will end...

This orange sunglasses wearing, freedom hating Mac user is gutted. LugRadio has been an oasis of top-notch self-deprecating humour in the world of FL/OSS. To all the hosts, past and present, thanks for all the great laughs.

No unfortunately I couldn't afford LRL US, but I will have been to 05,06,07 and 08 UK

The real question is, of course, how many people actually paid to travel to all 5 LRLs......

I just listened to the latest episode and heard the announcement. I felt compelled to write an entry in my blog (read by all of 2 people) saying thanks to you guys for all the hard work you (and the community), put in to the show to make it, in my opinion, the best tech podcast around.

Here's a copy and paste of the post text expressing my sentiments:

It is a sad day in the podcasting world. The first podcast that I started listening to roughly 2 years ago, and the only podcast that I would call myself a regular listener of, is Lugradio. I am in general fan of both open source software, Linux, and British humor thus making this the quintessential tech podcast for me. Turns out that Jono and co. want to end the show before it jumps the shark, which I can't fault them for. Plus I can only imagine the amount of work and toil that goes into making a podcast and these guys are doing it all pro bono - an effort that can not be sustainable over long periods of time.

So to Jono, Aq, Chris, Adam, Matthew, Ade and a host of other presenters whose names I can't recall I say thanks for the hard work, insights, and hilarity that resulted in this fine podcast and I wish you all luck in your future endeavors.

Again, thanks guys for your show!

See, this is the problem with open source projects, there's no guarantee they won't just fall apart as soon as the devs get bored with it.

Seriously, it's been a lot of fun listening and I hope you do some more projects together in the future.
I got a job again. I fix broken Windows.

Well you're right, but as with open source projects there's no reason you can't just take the bits you like and fork it. SquozenRadio? :)
